Ingredients
- 4 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 1 cup raw peanuts
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 to 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/4 tsp red chili pepper optional
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- Light spray oil
Optional Add Ins
- Pretzels
- Rice crackers
- Extra smoked paprika for more depth
- Cayenne if you like it hot
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add Chex, almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds to a large bowl.
- Lightly spray with oil and toss to coat.
- Drizzle in maple syrup and toss again so everything is lightly sticky.
- Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, red chili pepper if using, and salt. Toss really well until evenly coated.
- Spread in an even layer on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every 8 to 10 minutes so nothing burns.
- Remove from oven once golden and fragrant. Let cool completely so it crisps up.
